A slot in the back allows a 12-volt adapter to pass through, so you can keep your GPS connected to DC power while it's in the mount.
ATTACHING: Included with this mount is a battery cover case which has a male locking connection to join your eTrex unit to the mount.
MOUNTING: The permanent disk will attach your mount, and attach it well. Don't expect to remove the mount is a hurry. If this isn't your style, try the temporary disk. Stick the mount where you need it and then remove it when you're done.
This is the Non-Skid Friction mount with a dash mount base attached. Simply connect the cradle/upper part of your Auto Mount to this 'bean filled base', and its weight will hold your mount and unit right were you left it.
