Just place the VuQube antenna on the ground, picnic table, tailgate or anywhere you have a clear line of sight to the southern sky. A single 50’ coaxial cable connects the antenna to the “satellite in” port on the back of your satellite receiver or to the tripod input on your RV. Then use the wireless remote control to tilt and turn the internal dish towards the satellite while monitoring the signal meter on the TV inside the RV for simple, one person operation. A built-in automatic level feature keeps the dish pointed at a consistent elevation while rotating, even on unlevel ground.
The system comes complete with antenna unit, wireless remote control, 50’ RG-6 coaxial cable and operating instructions that include elevation maps for various satellites. The antenna receives +12 volt power from the satellite receiver through the coaxial cable, so there is no need for a separate power supply. A convenient carrying handle makes transporting the antenna effortless. The lightweight compact dome measures 16” W x 17.5” H and weighs just 10-½ pounds.
It’s a great solution for both the cost conscious travel trailer or fifth wheel owner looking for an easy to use, affordable antenna and for motorhome owners wanting a second dish for times when their roof mounted dish is obstructed by trees at a particular campsite. The 5 minute set-up is much simpler than traditional portable dishes making the VuQube® more versatile to be used not only while camping, but also tailgating, at the cabin or even at home in the back yard to watch the big game outside. Where the VuQube® can be used is limited only by one’s imagination.

System Compatibility:
VuQube customers are providing feedback about their enjoyment of having their shows anywhere at any time. We are also receiving feedback to provide more in-depth details about specific system compatibility. By providing this information we hope to eliminate frustrations caused by using, for example, a receiver that is hard to configure. Because Satellite TV is continually changing to enhance customer experience – new receiver types, HDTV, etc. - we cannot guarantee that this page is always fully up-to-date. We can guarantee, however, that we will make our best effort to provide you with the necessary information to enjoy your VuQube and your Satellite TV experience.
Quick Notes to help while we are putting this page together:
VuQube has a single out-put. What this means is that you need to use a SINGLE TUNER receiver. For DISH Network we recommend the 301 or 311 receivers. For DIRECTV, we recommend the D11 or D12 receivers.
Dish Network Dual tuner receivers such as the Model 322 and any dual tuner recorder receivers are not recommended for use with the Vu Qube satellite antenna.
HDTV. The VuQube CAN receive HD signal with DISH Network. The VuQube CANNOT receive HD signal with DIRECTV. We are busy working on updating the VuQube to receive the new Ka band HD signal from DIRECTV but not there yet. The update for DIRECTV will be a new system and so current VuQubes can not be upgraded. So, what this means is that if you have DIRECTV you will not be able to receive your HD programming.
Multiple Satellite Programming . The VuQube can be used with programming on multiple satellites but it is very important to know that the VuQube “locks-on” to one satellite signal at a time. For multiple satellite programming like DISH 500, you will need to switch between satellites to receive all of your programming. This is easily accomplished following the user instructions but has been reported back by some customers to be a bit slow at times. We are working on improving this interface, but if you have DISH 500 or DISH 1000, switching between satellites will currently take some patience. Remember you can always call us for help!
